Only got the chance to download Sametime 651 now.  With a bit of luck,
I will have the server and components pack in a few hours.  I hope
to upgrade my servers tonight and then let you know how it went…..

SIP Server up and running

For all those that would like to test
their SIP gateway,
http://sip.pmooney.net
is up and running.   If you want to test your connection over unencrypted
SIP connection, just mail me on pmooney@pmooney.net and we can exchange
connector details.  I hope to get the server broadcasting using TLS
in the next few days.  I will keep up the server as long as
there is interest in testing connections over the internet.  Although
SIP has a limited "standards" life span, houses are starting
to implement, specificially for  Sametime – Sametime communication.

Just a quick note.  IBM Lotus Team WorkPlace (QuickPlace) 651 is available for partner download since Yesterday!

No sign of Sametime as yet.

The site has been up a month now (give or take the odd outage when the
server had Websphere work to do) and I have intentionally left the site
with NO Spam blocking.  Before I get blacklisted, the relay is closed
of course, but apart from that, I have not enabled any Domino counter-Spam
feature; just to see what happens.

Interesting post on Ed
Brils Site
regarding the return
of the MS Ex -v- Domino technical comparison white papers.  I saw
some of these a few years back and they were wrong then.

Blogging is bad for you.  In the
past 6 months a long list of technical changes have happened to me.  I
began taking real notice to the blogs about 6 months ago (thanks to
Declan
Lynch
!).  From having a "Normal"
office in my house, changes in hardware and software have gotten out of
control

Heading to the UK for the week but will
have lots to post when I get back.  A quick piece of news I was informed
of is Lotus Education is planning the ND7 education strategy already.
It will be interesting to see if Lotus follow the ND6 education routes
or will the courses be ‘Placeified’

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the

HP ipaq h6300
with baited
breath.  Built in WiFi, Bluetooth, Quad Band Support, RIM push mail
software out of the box and lots more, I have to say its the one for me.

I posted a question to this site a while ago looking to see if anyone had
any other SMS related products.  I did a test install of
SMSPulse
over the weekend off this site.  It took all of 20 minutes to install
and test the product with working results.

A very busy few weeks dealing with many projects on the go.  Just
booked admin 2004 in Boston and am looking forward to meeting up with the
many names I see on these blogs.  One project I am dealing with at
the moment integrates Domino Applications and services, including QuickPlace
with Novell e-Directory.  It works (with some schema mapping), but
I have been told that e-Directory can only refer to another e-Directory.
 Can this be true?
