Anyone else being Trackback Spammed to hell at the minute?
Since Friday, I have had 50 Trackbacks
submitted for the usual "tasteful" sites. This is new to
me (maybe not to the guys that have been around the block more). No
offence to the older guys!

You’re not alone… I was poking around my blog this weekend, and found I had over 1500 unverified trackbacks hidden out there. I seem to be getting around 25 – 50 a day now.
Got to disable that feature…

I have been fighting the trackback spammer fight for quite some time. However, I have tired of the fight, especially for a feature that is, by all measures, rarely used at all. So, I have cut my losses and have disabled the feature.

Hopefully someone will be motivated enough to build a trackback blocker like the comment and referrer blocker features already in Blogsphere; I simply am not motivated enough…
