D day

Warren,
Kitty,
Eileen
and Duff
stayed in cazza Mooney last night.
So after pizza and beers and last minute work, I have been presented
with a few gifts.

1 x full size "Coors Light"
flag

1 x Fluffy the bunny rabbit

Also, to keep the theme, we have "I
Killed Fluffy" stickers to hand out on the day to anyone with dumb
questions.

So today’s agenda is very very tight.
We have about 4 car loads of kit to deliver to the hotel, collect
Kevin and leave him to my house so the poor lad can get some sleep, collect
from a customer site some equipment that they were good enough to lend
us, meet Bill and ensure all the printing is sorted, help sponsors that
arrive early with getting some stuff done.

For the record, the people are amassing
in the Alexander hotel this evening (same venue as the event – don’t ask
where it is or the bunny dies again).

 Poor
Eileen
is working on organising all of
us.  Poor

Thursday morning.  Poor
Duff
is getting ready to fly over.

Next on the list

Sort out my house… (not much chance
of that)

Sort out my presentation

Get everything ready for dumping it
all in the hotel on Wednesday

And for the record, there was another
bunny killing question sent to me today….

Tagging ILUG

Suggestion to use ILUG2007 for Technorati
and Flickr tagging folks.  Keeps things simple no?

Just in case any of you tourists take
photos…

6 days to go

Its been insane.

My house is now officially full.  We
have all been busy.  Warren is still working on his rolling presentation.
Get to the ILUG early – it will be worth it.  I had a sneak
preview today, and it is brilliant.  Eileen and I packed all the kits.
 Pictures of that are
here.
Bill is getting the schedule printed up.  On the list now:

Get the badges printed up for everyone

Get all the presentations and all the
demo software ready for everyone

Finalise everything with the hotel even
organisers

At this point last year, Eileen and
I said something that we said yesterday.

"Never ever again"

From the mailbox today

"Hi Paul

Can you tell me the address of the hotel
for the event and what time it starts/finishes at?

Regards…."

My reply – You
just killed Fluffy.

12 days to go

Today was spent collecting some of the
merchandise for the event.  So, here is a photo of my kitchen at the
moment.

A picture named M2

This is about HALF of what is to get
to me.

Next steps with this – organise the
"packs" for all the delegates that will contain the sponsor stuff.
This x 250 or so is going to take a while.  Also on the list.

  • Get some of the presentation slides
    ready to integrate with
    Warrens
    brilliant work (wait until you
    see it!)

  • Finish my admin2007
    presentations (which is a week
    after ILUG).

A sign of stress?

Ok guys… take a look at this picture.

A picture named M2

"awww" I hear you say.  "What
a cute bunny wabbit".  So, lets give him a name.  Lets call
him fluffy.  Fluffy is a happy rabbit, and is your friend.  So
I have some bad news for you (and fluffy).  One more email about ILUG
that is already answered in:

a: the previous emails I have sent out
to everyone

or

b: On the
ILUG site

And fluffy has bought it….. He will
be an ex-rabbit, gone to pastures new, shed his mortal coils, dead etc
etc.

Of course this is a joke.  I am
amazed at the line up of speakers, sponsors and delegates but I really
wish that some of them would read the stuff they were sent.

At the Scottish Notes User Group

An excellent turnout for the event in
the George hotel, Edinburgh.  Darren Adams on stage now.  Just
announced that Lotus Connections is to ship in June 2007.
