A lepoard arrived today

Starting to backup before a wipe and
upgrade -back in a while!

Update:

All went very very well.  I suppose
I should not really be too surprised with that.  There was a slight
issue with Lotus Notes but I will keep that for a seperate blog posting.

    btw did u get my mails? I’m wondering if some of them are getting lost in the ether. Not just you others too. May switch back to hotmail now it’s up to 5GB.

    Reasonable review here { Link } “The introduction of Time Machine and Quick Look alone does enough to warrant the purchase.” Not sure if it’s enough to make me want to switch from Windows mind.

    When at home, its not necessary as I have a local firewall, but when roaming, I turn on firewall as needed

    Wipe? Aw come on…I just popped it in, said a little prayer that Carl’s electric bill was paid Emoticon and went ahead. About 75 minutes later, meow.

    Shall I continue?

    Mac runs on linux – Vista (having used it) is a pig of a product and the DRM laced monster that it is (although Mac are not completely innocent there) will have to rethink as music DRM slowly changes as record companies rethink their suicide.

    As for the Mac – Read { Link }

    Like myself, he started down this road only a while ago – there is no going back, or wanting to go back

    Am getting your emails – just really busy at the moment

    The links tell u tho how the firewall is not reliable: “Heise Security, who conducted the tests, said the failings meant users could not “rely” on the firewall to protect them.” and “Even with the firewall set to ‘Block all incoming connections’ ports to netbios, ntp and other services were still open… Specifically these results mean that users can’t rely on the firewall.”

    I would take extra care with it. Good ‘ol Mac security. Lemme no if it is any good tho, mys sister is thinking of getting a laptop and wants something simple to use.
