Time Machine on the Mac
Just a "for the record" statement.
Time Machine does not backup VM’s well. I learnt that the
hard way. Bill told me this is well discussed on the Mac blogs, but
I dont read them. Lots of people moving to Macs that use the most
excellent VMWare fustion – just be aware of this guys…..

Paul,
The VMDK doesn’t even get backed up in it’s entirety? My Parallels one does as I saw it on my Time Capsule.

I “see” the VM in mine aswell – but it doesnt work when I restore and test – maybe you should try restoring it and post the results?

Doesn’t work well,
Restoring from backup is sort of boolean it either does or does not
I await the results of testing with more than passing interest (you never know I might get round to testing it myself)
