Congratulations on the new ride. Alfa Romeo is set to come back to the U.S. soon. How was the GT in terms of reliability?
My father used to have a 1986 Spider Veloce, which was the car that used to learn how to drive manual transmission. (And to this day I have yet to own a car with automatic.) Anyway, he had to get rid of it because it was horribly unreliable and the dealer wasn’t much better.
Have things changed over the last quarter century?
@1 – I have had 4 previous Alfas – all very reliable. Alfa has an old reputation to get rid of, but the eletronics and components of the models these days easily match modern standards.
@2 – All american cars could learn from Europeans/Japan. Typical american motoring is to add horsepower and bulk, while everywhere else engineers solutions.

Yeah, how is the reliability of Fiat nowadays?
As they just recently bought Chrysler, I kinda own a Fiat now ;)
