Domino ethical hacking and lotusbeers (again)
Next week (Thursday 24th May), I will be in London to present the first Domino Ethical Hacking/countermeasures workshop (spaces still available). On the same day, the Business Gets Social IBM event is also on in London. So, there should be a good few people around for Lotusbeers that evening. As ever I will defer to the locals (and Bill) for a venue so watch my tweets.
3 recent posts. 2 about drinking. Not good.

Good to see people taking security seriously. When I did my security talk at UKLUG certain people complained. Domino is a relatively secure platform but that security can be weakened by bad programming.
Not certain if you can cover enough in a one-day event. But then as you are targeting Admins it may be enough. Are you considering doing a security course for Devs?

Hi Dragon
Which certain people complained at UKLUG. I was there. As for Domino being secure, Andrew, Gab, myself and others have presented on security in Domino for years. My typical opening line is you can drive a bus through it out of the box (as you can with with other products). It has the potential to be fantastically secure.
I haven’t put thought into a dev-side one yet, but am in discussion with a few people to see if there is traction for it.

I’ve got a security chapter planned for my installing domino from scratch series, and I expect it to be heavily debated after it’s finished ;-)

Hi Paul,
do you think you could organize this Domino ethical hacking event in Germany ??

Not sure Rainer. We could offer it, but would need enough interest to make it viable.

Hi Paul,
I’m also interested in this topic, but getting to London for a one-day-trip is too complicated (I’m from Germany too).
Maybe you could ask for further participants from Germany or arrange an online webinar?
At least, I would be happy to get hands on the presentation
or a live recording of the sessions ;-)
Kind regards
Jörg
