Second session of "Worst Practices"

wow

They all turned up, and then some more.  I have been told that our room packed out, then overflowed into TWO more rooms.  Apparently well over 1200 people that day alone.  This was the 8.30am session the morning after the closing party!.  Are you guys mad?  The brilliant
Kevin Pettit brought me about 15 doughnuts, so I started to hand them out to anyone that would sit up the front.  The banter at the start with the crowd while we were waiting to begin was great.  Having the left side trying to out-scream the right, men out-scream women etc.  It certainly woke them up and got them ready to get involved.  Bill stayed sitting and only stood when we began.  Why?  because he was wearing the kilt (of course).   Susan Bulloch had helped us get "I'm too sexy" to be played when he stood.  Bill, as usual just took it on and used it to present.  I had managed to *cough* acquire one of the directional wands from Seaworld the previous evening, with the help of some people (and their wives).  Unfortunately it broke, but when we took it out, everyone got the idea...
Now, down to business.  This session went better, and as were being filmed, Bill and I were a bit more tame.   All the stories went well, and afterwards about twenty people came with us to the speakers' lounge to share stories.  I have promised to write a blog about how to send them to us, and in what format.  I will this week.  I am sorry, but I just couldn't stay to talk to you all as I had a meeting to get to.  It was fantastic getting to speak there, and hopefully
rocky will let us do it again, next year.

1 - Paul, the session was great! I went the first day. While there was nothing I was doing that's a "worst practice", I was able to take some nuggets of wisdom home to make sure that I'm not a future case study! It was great to meet you!

2 - This was the best session of the week. I bought the DVD to share with my staff when I get back. Who knew learning could be fun

3 - thought this was on the best sessions of the week. Great job!
