Robbed again

QuickImage Category

I don't post personal stuff often, but this one is just wayyy to odd to not post.  For the third time in six weeks, my valve caps from my car have been robbed while parked (Well - it would have been interesting if my car was in motion at the time!).  Yep, these are the things that cover the valves on the tyres.   For it to happen twice is unusual, but at this stage its plain ridiculous!  Am I being stalked by a serial valve cap thief?  Do I need to electrify my wheels or just exploding ink cartridges fitted?  If a young lad asked me for valve caps, I would give him the few quid it costs to replace them.   I shall check the Irish Police statistics this evening to see if this "car hate" crime is exploding in Dublin, or if its only me.  My friends have already mailed me links to counselling sites that deal with victims of "valve attacks" on a regular basis....

1 - You and your gold-plated valve caps ! If you insist on being SO flash what do you expect ? Things ain't what they used to be in Dublin, what ever happened to getting your wing mirrors ripped off or your window broke and the stereo nicked ?

2 - The sad and sorry truth was the caps were you good, old-fashioned plastic ones (well, the last two sets were).

3 - They probably make handy nipple covers - in this cold weather they likely go like hot cakes on eBay !!

4 - Having been around cars a lot, it's a popular pastime for kids in some parts and not others. I'm fine at home and around my area but actually watched the kids take the valve caps off my Lexus whilst I looked on through the window of my dad's house.

Why? Well, some kid now has LEXUS valve caps on his BMX...wow...big thrill. I didn't stop them as the car was 2 days old and I didn't want a handlebar scratch just yet!

That being said, my radar cruise control would have malfunctioned if they were crossing the road as I drove down it

5 - I had exactly the same thing happen a few months ago and was equally mysitified until I caught some little kids from down the road doing it to my neighbours car. Didn't quite see the point of it myself but they seemed to think it was extremely funny until I marched them back to their parents!

Bloody kids

6 - Hi Paul,

I sympathize with your situation - if it is of any consolation, I personally know of someone who lost three sets of valve caps within two weeks. And quite a few others, some more and others less, but with similar experiences.

Well, the reason that am posting here is that we produce the Avani Revolv - the anti theft tire valve caps, a unique patented product that prevent your valve caps from being 'robbed'.

Please feel free to head over to our site at { Link } to check it out. We can be contacted at support[at]avanigroup.com if you might need any help or clarifications.

Hope the information helps.

Cheers
