ILUG versus DNUG?
Category
Well, although we have not formally announced the ILUG2008 event yet, the website is now up and live. We have not opened up registration yet for speakers or delegates. This will be happening very very soon though.
So for the few that do not read Volker's website, the event is from the 4th-6th June in Dublin Ireland. The event will be held here. This, of course conflicts with DNUG in the summer. So, did we do it on purpose?
Course not. We checked the events that we were conflicting with (Admin, Advisor stuff) but never considered DNUG. Doh!
This makes life difficult for sponsors, speakers and delegates. I appreciate it, but will try to encourage people with the following little piece of information.
ILUG2008 will be fantastic. Seriously... it will.
Expect some world class speakers, trying out sessions they have never given before, focussing on the geeky cool factor on Lotus products.
Expect speedgeeking
Expect speedsponsoring (this will be fun)
Expect beer (Guinness)
Expect informal presentation styles, and enthusiasm and passion by speakers and organisers.
Expect to see some very tired organisers....
So, if you have suggestions, comments, or opinions on the whole schedule conflict or the event itself, I'm happy to hear them.
