O2 UK system overloaded with registration requests

Its unusual leaving a phone store without knowing your number.  The online system is overloaded in the UK, and even the internal O2 staff support system is not answering for the staff.  Simply put, the system cannot keep up with the demand this morning alone.  So, I fill out the forms and they will phone my on another number today (or possibly Sunday) and let me know its activated and give me the number.

Funny - ya think they would of being expecting this...  In fairness to the ground staff, helpful, honest and excellent manner in the store.  Handing out sweets to people queuing and apologising to those that were too late.

1 - They did expect it but it looks far more impressive marketing hoopla to say the system was overloaded with demand then to have enough staff to cope. Wait a few days and it will calm down a bit.
Still too expensive for what it is. Camera is poor too.
