Upgrading the BIOS on my XDA2s

QuickImage Category

I was sooooo happy to hear that there was a new ROM available for the XDA2s.  I am a big fan but the unit I have has caused me some real grief since I got it.  Hangs, poor bluetooth range, phone audio issues etc.  All these issues occured to me before on my old XDA2 until the ROM was upgraded.  I was also quite looking forward to the BES client being available on the new ROM.  Surely it would be availble on the new one, wouldn't it?

Here is the first check screen of the BIOS upgrade.

A picture named M2

As many wise men have said, Bollocks..... Guess I will still have problems then.  Well done O2.  You have released a "new BIOS" that has been out for months.

2 - Paul,

For some devices, including the XDA2 as far as I know, there should be ROM builds wih Windows Mobile 5 becoming available.
If you want I can check for you if this is the case. The issue however always is that the manufacturer and/or the mobile operator must release this upgrade, in your case O2.
Just drop e an email if you want me to look into it; after all, I want you in the Microsoft camp, if only on the mobile side ;-

4 - Hi Adnan, tell me what versions you do have now

5 - Might me a stupid question, but as they say there are no stupid questions. I'm looking to purchase a PDA that has Windows Mobile 5 for the rick OS functions, but with also has BES Client (Blackberry) support. Mainly because as a Small Business operator, Blackberry is accessible cost wise in Australia, whereas the carriers have a long way to go for heavy email users with the other network offerings. Please advice???
